The Chance Foundation We Are Together (formerly the Chance for the Blind Foundation) was established in 1992 to focus on supporting people who have lost their vision and where medicine offers them no hope of improving their fate. Following the example of Europe and North America, we employ modern rehabilitation methods and technological solutions to empower visually impaired individuals to lead active and independent lives. Prior to 1989, opportunities in Poland were significantly restricted due to political and social limitations. It was only through subsequent political reforms and the introduction of new legislation, such as the Act on Vocational and Social Rehabilitation and the creation of the State Fund for Rehabilitation of the Disabled, that it became possible to implement modern support standards and integrate visually impaired individuals into society.
By embracing global innovations, Polish blind and visually impaired individuals have gained access to the latest technological and methodological advancements, enabling them to actively participate in social, educational, and professional live.
Since 1992, the Foundation has aimed at achieving standards comparable to those in the most developed countries worldwide. We provide guidance to blind and visually impaired individuals on managing daily life, remaining active, and achieving success. Our beneficiaries engage in professional training and workshops, receiving essential educational materials such as textbooks and books on modern rehabilitation from us. We have successfully assisted thousands of individuals in securing employment and recognizing the value of active social participation. In addition to disseminating knowledge on contemporary rehabilitation approaches, we organize meetings with international experts. Notable examples include the International Conference REHA FOR THE BLIND IN POLAND and East-West meetings. Our Voice
Representatives of the Chance Foundation - We Are Together, led by President Marek Kalbarczyk, are actively involved in various advisory bodies at both central and local government levels. Their activities include participation in the National Consultative Council for Persons with Disabilities at the Ministry of Family and Social Policy and in the Accessibility Council at the Ministry of Funds and Regional Policy.
Marek Kalbarczyk also had the honor of representing Poland during the United Nations sessions in 2022, which focused on entrepreneurship and the economic situation of persons with disabilities. During this event, he emphasized how crucial reliable education and access to modern specialized equipment are for professional and personal success.
Thanks to our projects, the Chance Foundation - We Are Together implements a range of initiatives aimed at improving the lives and work of people with visual impairments:

- We collaborate with leading experts in the field of rehabilitation for people with visual impairments, ensuring the highest quality of our services;
- We organize competitions with attractive prizes that promote modern rehabilitation methods and active participation in social life;
- We engage in helping disabled individuals in particularly difficult situations;
- We strive to raise awareness about the challenges faced by our community, which helps in the optimal allocation of funds dedicated to rehabilitation in Poland.
